Bobby's Beef Brisket Chili
Serves 10
Ingredients:
- 1 can Mrs. Grimes no salt added black beans, drained
- 1 can Mrs Grimes no salt added chili beans, drained
- 1 can Mrs. Grimes no salt added kidney beans, drained
- 1 pound beef brisket (can use any other smoked meat as substitute)
- 2 cans no salt added diced tomatoes
- 2 fresh diced tomatoes
- 1 green bell pepper
- 1 diced onion
- 6 ounces mushrooms (optional)
- ¼ cup unpacked brown sugar
- 1 square unsweetened Baker’s Chocolate
- 1 habanero, finely chopped
- 1 cup reduced sodium V8
- 1 teaspoon cumin (add more to taste)
- 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper (add more to taste)
- 1 teaspoon chili seasoning (add more to taste)
Directions:
- Combine all ingredients. Simmer a minimum of six hours. Place in fridge overnight.
- Simmer another six hours the next day. Add water while simmering to obtain desired consistency.
- Serve.
